From now on we will be organizing weekly sessions beginning with running and cycling with WERQ Run Club and Queer Wheels! We offer different training sessions at different locations throughout Amsterdam. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where queer individuals can enjoy sports and build social connections.
WERQ Run Club
Do you want to start running or have you been thinking about joining a running group? Every week we organize different training sessions at different locations. Check them out in our schedule and run with us!
Interval Training
Whether you’re lacing up your running shoes for the first time or you’re an experienced runner seeking companionship and a way to enhance your skills, our interval sessions are designed for you. These sessions provide a supportive and inclusive environment, tailored specifically for the queer community. They feature a mix of fast-paced intervals—ranging from 200m to 800m—with slow recovery runs in between. These intervals are key to developing speed endurance, meaning regular participation can help you run faster for longer periods.
We rotate our starting locations between the We Are Queer gym in East and the We Are Queer gym in West. Join us to push your limits, set and achieve tangible goals, and celebrate every milestone along the way. Embark on your running adventure with us and experience the fulfillment of reaching your fitness milestones together!
Easy Long Run
Connect with fellow queer runners and explore the outdoors with our easy long runs. Each session covers a distance of 5 to 7km at a no-drop pace, ensuring that everyone, regardless of experience, can keep up. For those interested in covering longer distances, we also offer extended routes.
We alternate starting locations between the We Are Queer gym in East and the We Are Queer gym in West, ensuring variety and accessibility. This program provides a supportive space for you to challenge yourself and meet your fitness goals in a friendly environment.
