Facility coordinator
Location: west/east
Hours: 25-30 hours per month
Start: asap
As a facility coordinator, you are the key player in organising and ensuring the smooth operation of our (sports) activities at the We Are Queer gyms. You work closely with the rest of the coordinator team and the volunteers. Both locations are ready to receive visitors thanks to you. You keep an eye on the stock of supplies and periodically organize a major cleaning.
Your tasks include:
- Coordinating facilities at both locations (accessibility, equipment, safety);
- Maintaining contact with venue managers and suppliers;
- Identifying and resolving practical issues;
- Supporting the planning of events at both locations;
- Doing small maintenance in our gym spaces;
- Keep the gym clean and tidy in collaboration with volunteers.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on team player who feels at home in a diverse and inclusive environment. Someone who enjoys organising, takes initiative and has an eye for detail. You don’t need experience in sports or coordination – what matters most is your connection to the queer communities and your desire to help create a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
You are:
- Somebody who has affinity with the queer communities and our mission;
- Somebody handy with tools;
- Good organizational and communication skills;
- Experienced with facility coordination (no prerequisite);
- Flexible in availability.
